$2,000 No-Essay Scholarship by Sallie — Sweepstakes

Heads up: this is a sweepstakes, not a merit scholarship. Winners are picked by random drawing each month, not by GPA, essay, or financial need. Entering is free and takes about a minute. Sallie (formerly Sallie Mae) is a student-loan company, and entering puts you on their marketing list.

What you get

  • $2,000 paid directly to your college or university (not to you). One grand prize per monthly drawing.
  • 12 monthly drawings between January 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026. Each month is a separate entry period — you can enter once per month.

Who can enter

Legal U.S. residents (50 states, DC, or U.S. Territories), age 16 or older at the time of entry, who fit one of these:
  1. A college student currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university, or
  1. A high school junior or senior who plans to enroll at an accredited U.S. college within a year of graduating, or
  1. A parent of a child currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. college or university, or
  1. A parent of a child currently enrolled as a high school junior or senior in the U.S.
Void where prohibited. No purchase necessary.

How to enter

  1. Go to sallie.com/scholarships/no-essay.
  1. Fill in name, email, level of study, and the college you attend or plan to attend.
  1. Submit. You're entered for the current month's drawing. Entries received after a month's cutoff roll into the next month.
You'll need to agree to receive marketing emails from Sallie to enter — that's the trade-off. You can unsubscribe later.

Heads-up before you enter

  • Marketing list: Sallie sells private student loans. Expect emails and possibly texts about loan products. This is not a scam, but it is lead generation.
  • Odds: No published odds, but tens of thousands enter each month. Treat it like a free lottery ticket, not a plan to pay for school.
  • Prize goes to the school: Sallie pays your college directly. You can't pocket the cash.
  • Taxes: Scholarship money used for tuition and required fees is generally tax-free; amounts used for room/board may be taxable. Check with the financial-aid office.
