Who it's for: people with intellectual or developmental disabilities, and families, who want to know what services to ask their regional center for. Nevada County is served by Alta California Regional Center.
What it does
The state gives every type of regional center service a number called a service code. SCDD's tool, developed with Disability Rights California and the University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UC Davis MIND Institute, UCLA Tarjan Center and USC), lists them with real-life examples.
- Filter by need: respite and caregiver relief, day programs, employment, behavioral support and crisis services, independent living, medical and therapy services, transportation, social recreation and camp, the Self-Determination Program and more.
- Filter by who needs it: Early Start (ages 0–3), child, or adult.
"This list does not include all services" — use it to start a conversation with your service coordinator.
