FLAG: As of 2026-05-17, lsnc.net lists only the Auburn office for this six-county region. The Nevada City satellite location (204 Providence Mine Road) is no longer published on the LSNC site or contact page. Confirm with the Auburn office whether Nevada City walk-in service is still available before sending clients there. [Source: lsnc.net/how-contact-us (accessed 2026-05-17)]

What to bring
Any documents related to your problem — lease, eviction notice, benefits denial letter, court papers, pay stubs, ID. Bringing paperwork on the first visit speeds things up.
Accessibility & parking
Wheelchair-accessible entrance at the rear of the building off Tuttle Street. Call ahead for other accommodations. Street parking only, and it's limited — arrive early.
Common pitfalls
- Don't wait on an eviction. If you got a 3-day, 30-day, or 60-day notice, call the same day. Deadlines for tenant responses are very short.
- Bring the denial letter for benefits appeals — Medi-Cal, CalFresh, SSI, and unemployment denials all have appeal windows (often 30–90 days).
- Fridays are not for new intakes at the Auburn office — call Monday–Thursday for the fastest response.
