eBay for Charity — raise funds for a nonprofit through eBay sales
eBay for Charity lets sellers donate a portion (10%–100%) of an item's final sale price to a chosen nonprofit, and lets buyers add a donation at checkout. Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits enroll through PayPal Giving Fund to receive the donations, which are collected and distributed at no cost to the charity.
Who it's for
- Nonprofits: U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations can enroll to receive donations from eBay listings and checkout.
- Sellers: anyone selling on eBay can dedicate part of a sale to a charity; eBay credits back the final-value fee in proportion to the percentage donated.
How to use it
- Nonprofits: confirm enrollment via PayPal Giving Fund (linked from charity.ebay.com).
- Sellers: choose a charity and donation percentage when listing an item.
- Buyers: add a donation during checkout on any listing.
