Tribal Link Up
Up to $100 off the initial setup fee for phone service, or a no-interest payment plan of up to $200 over one year. One time per residential address.
Who qualifies
You must live on qualifying Tribal lands and meet one of these:
- Household income at or below 135% of Federal Poverty Guidelines, or
- You or someone in your household is in a qualifying program. These include the standard Lifeline programs plus Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance, Tribal TANF, Head Start (only households meeting the income standard), and the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations.
Is my address on Tribal lands?
Check USAC's Tribal Lands map at maps.usac.org/li/tribalmap. USAC says the map is for information only.
Not on Tribal lands?
The regular California LifeLine + Federal Lifeline plan still applies. See California LifeLine + Federal Lifeline — the $0 Phone Plan.
Tribal lands required
The enhanced Tribal discount and Link Up require that you live on qualifying Tribal lands. It is not based on tribal membership alone. The Nevada City Rancheria Nisenan Tribe says it "has yet to have their land returned." Source: HUṠWEJ — Ancestral Homelands Reciprocity Program (accessed 2026-09-28)
