Who it's for: nonprofits with a one-time project that helps low-income Nevada County households.
What you get
- $30,000 per round, split between two projects of up to $15,000 each, awarded one time only.
- Projects must reduce the causes of poverty and promote family self-sufficiency, through educational and cognitive development, income and asset building, nutrition, housing, or health and social/behavioral development. Proposals that improve household income get priority.
- Not allowed: administrative overhead, which includes the nonprofit's staff and operating costs, and replacing other funding.
How to apply
- The county posts a Request for Proposals in its News Flash. The most recent RFP we found ran Feb 14 – Mar 21, 2025 (due at noon). Watch for the next round.
