PagerDuty is software that watches your computer systems and websites. When something breaks, it pages the right person right away — by phone, text, app, or email. If your nonprofit runs anything online (a donor portal, a hotline, a case-management system, a website people depend on), PagerDuty helps you fix problems fast instead of finding out from an angry email the next morning.
Through PagerDuty's Impact Pricing program, eligible nonprofits get 5 free Professional plan licenses, discounts on additional products, and free onboarding and training. [Source: pagerduty.com/industries/nonprofit (accessed 2026-05-17)]
Who qualifies
Your organization must be one of these:
- A 501(c)(3) nonprofit, or a similar locally recognized nonprofit
- A private foundation
- A nonprofit healthcare organization
- A Certified B Corporation whose mission aligns with PagerDuty's
- An educational institution
- A social enterprise focused on community impact
You also have to follow a non-discrimination rule: you can't discriminate based on protected traits, and you can't require people to share your religion to receive services. [Source: pagerduty.com/foundation-eligibility (accessed 2026-05-17)]
Not eligible: government agencies, credit unions, mutual organizations, and individuals.
What you get
- 5 free Professional licenses. Professional is PagerDuty's standard paid tier. Five seats cover a small ops or IT team.
- Discounts on additional products. If you need more seats or add-ons (like AIOps or Customer Service Ops), you pay a reduced rate. PagerDuty does not post the exact percentage publicly; ask during the application.
- Onboarding and training. Help getting set up and learning the platform.
How to apply
- Go to pagerduty.com/industries/nonprofit and click "Apply for Impact Pricing."
- Get a TechSoup token first if you don't have one — it's free. Sign up at techsoup.org and request a validation token. PagerDuty uses TechSoup to confirm your nonprofit status.
- Have your IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter ready (or your B Corp certificate, or your country's equivalent — Canada CRA, UK Charity Commission, Australia ACNC, etc.).
- Submit the application. PagerDuty's team will review and contact you.
Questions: email support@pagerduty.com.
Common pitfalls
- Skipping TechSoup. Without a TechSoup token, your application stalls. Get the token first.
- Government or quasi-government org. Public agencies don't qualify even if they're mission-driven. Look at other vendor programs instead.
- Out-of-date 501(c)(3) letter. Make sure your IRS determination letter is the current one for your EIN.
- Religious requirement on services. If your programs require participants to share your faith, you won't qualify. The non-discrimination rule is strict.
