Who it's for: 501(c)(3) public charities, private operating foundations, religious institutions, Type I or II supporting organizations (with a determination letter) and Indian tribes in good standing with the IRS. Government agencies with an IRS governmental information letter can also enroll. Private non-operating foundations are not eligible.
What you get
- Donors can choose your charity on PayPal, eBay, Facebook and Instagram. It is how eBay for Charity pays nonprofits.
How to enroll
- Set up a PayPal Business account for your nonprofit.
- Confirm your charity with tax and banking documents.
- California-based charities must also complete the PayPal Giving Fund enrollment form after confirming.
- Once you're verified, a welcome email arrives within 3 business days with a link to update your profile.
