PG&E residential customers on CARE or FERA who owe $500 or more on gas and electric ($250 or more for gas only), are more than 90 days past due, have been a customer at least six months and have made at least one on-time payment. Solar (NEM) and master-metered accounts aren't eligible.

If you're on CARE or FERA and behind on your PG&E bill, AMP forgives 1/12 of your old balance every time you pay your new monthly bill on time and in full, up to $8,000 over 12 months. You can miss up to two payments, but not two in a row. Sign up in your PG&E online account (My Account, then Assistance Programs, then AMP) or call PG&E.
