The Hello Alice Small Business Mastercard is a no-annual-fee business credit card issued by First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO). Hello Alice runs it as part of their small-business support platform, so the card comes with coaching, grant alerts, and a community alongside the credit line. Who this is for

  • Sole proprietors, freelancers, gig workers, single-member LLCs, and home-based businesses — you don't need employees to qualify.
  • Nonprofit staff or volunteers who also run a side business (Etsy, consulting, tutoring, etc.) — the card is for the business, not the nonprofit itself.
  • People who can pay the statement balance in full each month. The standard APR (18.24%–27.24%) is high, so carrying a balance gets expensive fast.
If you're looking for a card to fund a nonprofit organization's operations, this isn't it — it's a personally guaranteed small-business card, not an org card. [Source: support.helloalice.com (accessed 2026-05-17)]

What you get

  • $0 annual fee.
  • 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for the first 6 billing cycles after account opening. After that: variable 18.24%–27.24% based on your creditworthiness and the Prime Rate.
  • $50 statement credit after you spend $1,000 in the first 3 billing cycles (one credit per business account).
  • Rewards points: 4x on software and wireless, 3x on office supplies and shipping, 2x on dining and rideshare, 1.5x on everything else.
  • Balance transfer fee: 5% of the amount transferred, $10 minimum.
  • Access to Hello Alice's grant database, 1:1 coaching sessions, and small-business community.

How to qualify

  • US-based small business of any structure.
  • Personal credit check (usually Experian, sometimes Equifax) — this is a personally guaranteed card, so your personal credit is on the hook if the business can't pay.
  • No published minimum FICO score. Hello Alice says they use "custom models" beyond just FICO, so applicants with thin credit files sometimes get approved when other issuers say no.
  • If you're declined, Hello Alice has historically offered a secured credit-builder version that can graduate to unsecured in about 12 months. Check their support site for current availability.

How to apply

  1. Go to helloalice.com/funding/credit-card and click "Apply Now."
  1. You'll create a free Hello Alice account first (if you don't already have one).
  1. Application asks for your legal name, SSN, business name and structure, estimated annual revenue, and estimated personal income.
  1. Most applicants get a decision in a few minutes. If they need more info, expect a follow-up email within a few business days.

Pitfalls to watch

  • The intro APR ends. Six billing cycles is roughly six months. After that, a $5,000 balance at 24% APR costs about $100/month in interest. Pay it down before the intro period ends, or don't carry a balance at all.
  • Personally guaranteed. Missed payments hit your personal credit, not just your business credit.
  • Statement credit is one-time. The $50 only applies to the first qualifying account; it's not a recurring perk.
  • Rewards points earned from Hello Alice activities (community events, coaching) can't be redeemed for cashback — only from purchases.
  • Promotional offers vary by where you apply (online vs. in person), so screenshot the offer terms when you apply.

Where to get help

  • FNBO cardholder services: number on the back of your card once issued. FNBO handles billing, disputes, and lost/stolen cards.
  • Free local business help (Nevada County): Sierra Business Council and the Sierra Small Business Development Center offer free 1:1 coaching on whether taking on credit makes sense for your business.
