Your privacy
The Clinic is set up to protect your medical privacy, including for teens. If you share a health plan with a parent or partner and don't want them to see what you were seen for, tell the front desk when you check in — they can help route billing and records to keep your visit confidential.

Common pitfalls
- Don't skip the call thinking you need a referral. You don't, even on Medi-Cal or Medicare.
- If you're worried about cost, say so when you book. Don't no-show — staff can usually find a way to make the visit affordable.
- For abortion care, call as early as you can. Medication abortion is time-limited; earlier in pregnancy means more options.
- Bring your insurance card if you have one, but a lack of one will not turn you away.
