Microgrants

  • Up to $4,000 per project, for equipment and tools, climate-related events, or labor on projects that help local residents and landscapes prepare for climate change.
  • Who can apply: 501(c)(3) nonprofits and tribal organizations in western Nevada County.
  • Status: round 1 ($20,000 to six projects) was awarded in summer 2026. A next round hasn't been announced, so join the mailing list to hear first.

Community meetings (open to everyone)

  • Quarterly, 4:00–6:00 p.m., at the LOVE Building, Condon Park, Grass Valley
  • Tuesday, September 29, 2026 and Tuesday, December 1, 2026
  • Topics include resilience funding, state budget impacts and Climate Bond money. The collaborative is also exploring solid waste and the circular economy.

It's governed by Nevada County, Grass Valley, Nevada City, the Nevada County Resource Conservation District, the Nevada Irrigation District and the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital District, and funded by the state's Regional Resilience Grant Program.
