Do this now: pre-register your animals

Nevada County offers a pre-registration form for animal emergency dispatch. Pre-registering means responders can act faster, with less data entry at the start of an emergency, and it helps track your animals from evacuation through sheltering to reunification. You get a confirmation email with a copy of your form. "The information you share on this form is used only for disaster response in Nevada County, California."
